Mumbai, 28 May 2024: The Mumbai-Pune Expressway will be blocked for installing gantries on Tuesday, May 28, 2024. This crucial update is important for all travelers planning their journey. Under the Highway Traffic Management System, the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) is installing a gantry at 1.550 km from Mumbai towards Pune. This installation will occur from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. During this time, both light and heavy vehicles will be completely banned on the expressway.
The MSRDC will initiate the installation of a three-leg serviceable gantry on the Yashwantrao Chavan Mumbai-Pune Expressway. As a result, all types of vehicles will be restricted from using the expressway for one hour. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes during this period.
Alternate Routes:
Light Vehicles: Vehicles traveling from Mumbai to Pune can turn left at the starting point (00.000 km) and pass through Kalamboli Circle onto Mumbai-Pune National Highway No. 48.
All Vehicles: Vehicles heading from Mumbai to Pune can be diverted from Kalamboli (00.000 km) to the left, passing through Kalamboli Circle, Kalamboli-D-Point, Karanjade, Palaspe, and further onto Mumbai-Pune National Highway No. 48.
From Kon Bridge: All types of vehicles will be diverted from Kon Bridge (09.800 km) onto the Pune channel of the Mumbai-Pune Expressway.
Old Mumbai-Pune Highway: Vehicles can proceed on the old Mumbai-Pune highway, and from Shingroba Ghat magic point (42.000 km), they will be diverted back onto the Pune channel of the Yashwantrao Chavan Mumbai-Pune Expressway.
