The bcci wrote in its press release: “during a period of two weeks 21 matches will be played in 10 cities, in which each team will play minimum three matches and maximum five matches. There will be two double headers on the first weekend starting with the punjab Kings hosting Delhi hospitals on Saturday afternoon, followed by the evening kolkata night riders sunraise hyderabad. The board said, “the bcci will work closely with the government and security agencies following all the necessary protocol and advice relating to the forthcoming lok sabha elections in India. Once the 18th lok sabha election dates are announced, the board will review and resolve any issue relating to the first two weeks programme. It will then work with the local authorities to finalize the schedule of the remaining session in view of the bcci voting dates.”
IPL Scheduled with Venue 2024
The ipl chairman arun dhumal had stated that the whole tournament would be held in India itself. Only in 2009 ipl was played completely abroad (South Africa), while in 2014 due to general elections, some matches were played in the uae.
